Un Automne Passé

This is a series I made in 2009 inspired by the song: Comptine d'un autre été : L'après midi, written by Yann Tierson for the movie Amélie.  I titled my series: Un Automne Passé.  It translates from French to, An Autumn Past.  I decided to pay tribute to the original song by titling the series in French.  The music reminded me of growing up and watching the seasons change from a warm spring to a colder, starker fall.  It also made me think of nostalgia, and calling upon memories of the past.

Photos Inspired By An Artist - Edward Hopper

These are some photos I took that were inspired by the painter, Edward Hopper.  I used a panty-hose to soften these images in order to give them Hopper's blurred, painterly quality.  (2009.)
